Logic’s Twitch Future Includes Blessing Rappers With Free Beats

Logic has ambitious plans for his post-rap career on Twitch. In an interview with Billboard, the Def Jam artist said he intends to do beat giveaways on the streaming platform with no strings attached.
“There’s some people on Twitch that like to do giveaways,” he divulged. “I wanna make beats for up-and-coming rappers on the spot and give it to them for free and if they take it, don’t charge them and don’t even take publishing.”
In terms of engaging with fans who aren’t MCs, Logic is excited about what he’ll be able to accomplish on Twitch. Having a higher barrier to entry will allow him to build with his supporters in a way he couldn’t on other social media platforms.
“I wanna connect with my fans in a way that I haven’t been able to in a long time because social media itself is so toxic,” he explained. “So by allowing me to now jump on Twitch where you have to pay to be able to comment, it’s not about the money. It’s about the fact that you really genuinely care and will pay so that we can engage with each other. Taking out certain negative keywords so that it’s a safe space.”

NEW MUSIC FRIDAY - NEW ALBUMS FROM LOGIC, LUPE FIASCO, GUNNA & MORE

According to Logic, having users sign up for subscriptions such as the $4.99 per month tier will harken back to the days of making a trip to the store to buy an artist’s CD. He wants his Twitch to become a go-to spot for his true fans as opposed to people with nothing more than a passing interest in his work.
“For me, that’s how I feel regarding Twitch,” he said. “If you really care, you’re not just gonna come there to hate. You’re gonna pay so that we can talk to each other.
On Friday (July 24), Logic released his sixth studio album No Pressure. Although rap retirements rarely stay true, he’s claimed it will be his final LP.
After announcing he’d be stepping away from the music industry, Logic revealed he signed a seven-figure deal with Twitch. Follow and subscribe to his channel on the video game streaming platform here.

Doja Cat Tests Positive For COVID-19 Months After Mocking People Scared Of The Virus......ohhh man wow!!

Doja Cat‘s pandemic life has had its fair share of twists and turns and now the 24-year-old “Say So” singer is revealing she tested positive for COVID-19.
In an interview with Capital XTRA on Friday (July 24), Doja detailed how she dealt with the virus.
“I stay home, I got COVID … honestly, I don’t know how this happens, but I guess I ordered something off of Postmates and I don’t know how I got it but I got it,” Doja told Capital XTRA’s Yinka and Shayna Marie. “I’m OK now, it was a 4-day symptom freak out but I’m fine now.”
Back in March, Doja took to Instagram Live for a session with fans where she denounced the virus and the pandemic itself.
“Bitch, I’m not scared of a coronavirus or the muthafuckin’ beer version of that shit,” she said. “I’m gonna get corona and then I’m gonna get a Corona, cause I don’t give a fuck about corona, bitch. It’s a flu!”
She added, “I’m not scared, Y’all are pussy, period. You just take some Mucinex and drink water and tea and sleep – that’s all you gotta do. Y’all are so scared of some damn corona. Y’all are so scared of corona that I need a Corona.”

Doja’s quarantine controversies have piled up since the pandemic began. On May 24, Doja took to Instagram to apologize after it was revealed that she was allegedly engaging in incel chat rooms making racist jokes. She also apologized for a 2015 song, “Dindu Nuffin,” named after a “pejorative term used to mock blacks that commit crimes, and the excuses that’s made for them.”
Fans attempted to cancel the singer with the #dojacatisoverparty hashtag after the song and video of her in the chat rooms resurfaced.
“I want to address what’s been happening on Twitter,” she wrote. “I’ve used public chat rooms to socialize since I was a child. I shouldn’t have been on some of those chat room sites, but I personally have never been involved in any racist conversations. I’m sorry to everyone that I offended.”

She continued, “I’m a black woman. Half of my family is black from South Africa and I’m very proud of where I come from. As for the old song that’s resurfaced, it was in no way tied to anything outside of my own personal experience. It was written in response to people who often used that term to hurt me. I made an attempt to flip its meaning, but recognize that it was a bad decision to use in my music.

Skinnyfromthe9 Allegedly Shot — Goes Straight To Instagram

Skinnyfromthe9 was allegedly shot on Friday (July 24) but somehow managed to crawl on Instagram shortly after the incident.
Roughly 12 hours ago, the 24-year-old rapper shared a video clip to his private account which shows a police officer behind him, blue and red lights from the cruiser and Skinny laying facedown on the ground in just his boxers.
He wrote across the clip, “I just got shot.”

Some people started to hypothesize the incident was nothing but a publicity stunt, but Skinny’s management appeared to squash the chatter in a pair of follow-up posts captured by a Skinny fan page.
“Skinny is in the hospital we don’t know what’s going on he did get shot,” the first post read. “Pray for him. This is not a joke.”

Tisakorean has been a part of a wave of new artists with Texas roots making a splash nationwide.

Tisakorean has always been a little different — from the words he says, to the clothes he wears, and, now, in the music he makes. The beats he creates are sparse and dissonant, creating a sound that's sort of detached from an era yet they'd sound just as at home on a mid-2000s Soulja Boy tape as they do in Triller and TikTok videos.

A certified viral sensation, Tisakorean has been a part of a wave of new artists with Texas roots making a splash nationwide. Synonymous with jigging and the #woahchallenge, the Houston native began to gain traction through his dance moves and successful singles (see last year's "Dip," which has more than 4 million plays on SoundCloud, and 2017's "Werkkk").
The 24-year-old entertainer connected with Chance The Rapper for their Murda Beatz-produced collaboration, "Groceries." Grateful for the opportunity, he found that working with the Coloring Book artist also provided some inspiration. As he puts it, the collaboration made him want to "go harder."

EarthGang member Olu recently participated in a Dreamville Records Instagram Live session and confirmed J. Cole’s sixth studio album is indeed on its way. He explained there’s been a slight delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Cole album is coming,” he said. “It’s in [U.S.] Customs [and Border Protection] right now. Cole album gotta get through [U.S.] Customs [and Border Protection] ’cause you know, corona.”

If anyone is wondering what U.S. Customs and Border Protection has to do rap albums, the organization is tasked with inspecting products, goods and more entering the U.S. to ensure banned agricultural products and counterfeit goods aren’t being imported.
As noted on the CBP’s official website, “U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is working closely with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other federal, state, and local agencies to support the whole-of-government effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 and keep everyone safe.

Fans Mercilessly Cancel Gillie Da Kid After He Screams 'All Lives Matter'

See the source image

Veteran rapper, alleged Lil Wayne ghostwriter and Barstool Sports podcaster Gillie Da Kid did himself no favors amongst his Hip Hop base when he decided to blurt out “All Lives Matter” without warning in a video that surface on social media on Thursday (July 9).
The Philly representative decided to speak out against the Black Lives Matter movement because he says his opinion is always being sought out.
“So I keep getting the same questions: ‘Gillie, what don’t you give no game about Black Lives Matter?'” he huffed during opening of his social media announcement. “Because I don’t get into that shit, nigga. ALL lives matter, nigga. I don’t give a fuck if you white, black, blue, purple, brown, tangerine … nigga ALL lives matter. Y’all want a nigga to go out there head first and tell these muthafuckin’ white people ‘Black Lives Matter???’ But my Black life didn’t matter to the nigga that tried to execute me. To the nigga who shot me in my muthafuckin’ wrist, stomach and my foot. The nigga that tried to have my momma singing, ‘It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye.’ My Black life didn’t matter to that nigga! All the niggas I knew been shot by niggas!!!”

The official Black Lives Matter movement was created in 2013 by Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi as means to combat the dispropriate police brutality amongst Black American citizens and the lack of accountability when it comes to prosecuting law enforcement. Never has it been outlined or specified in their speech that Black lives are more important than any other ethnicities. Catchphrases such as “All Lives Matter” and “Blue Lives Matter” started being touted after the Black Lives Matter organization officially formed. Their slogans are widely considered pejoratives towards the movement and exist only to disrupt the fight for social justice. The official Black Lives Matter website has also repeatedly affirmed its stance adjacent to motives of outside agitators and casual supporters. Statistic-gathering departments such as the Bureau of Justice consistently put out factual numbers showing crime is motivated by opportunity and proximity throughout segregated communities while sites like Reuters have been working around the clock to debunk false data that prop up the “black-on-black crime” narrative.

Yet, fact-checking was seemingly beneath Gillie during his rant.
“And what about my muthafuckin’ nieces and nephews who half-Black and half-White?” he continued. “Only 50 percent of their lives matter, nigga? And I understand the whole Black Lives movement … ‘we been oppressed … we been done wrong …’ Nigga, we do more wrong to each other, nigga. We do more wrong to each other than anybody.”

Joe Budden Doesn’t Give Gillie Da Kid Slack For ‘All Lives Matter’ Rant

Podcast Wars: Joe Budden Doesn’t Give Gillie Da Kid Slack For ‘All Lives Matter’ Rant

Gillie Da Kid, who helms his own Barstool Sports podcast Million Dollaz Worth of Game alongside Wallo267, was recently forced to confront a newly surfaced video in which he utters the highly controversial phrase “All Lives Matter,” one he said is years old.
“So, I keep getting the same question, ‘Gillie, you always giving up game. Why you don’t ever give no game on Black Lives Matter?'” he said in the clip. “‘Cause I don’t get to that shit, nigga. All Lives Matter, nigga. I don’t give a fuck if you White, Black, blue, purple, brown, tangerine, NIGGA, All Lives Matter.”
But Joe Budden doesn’t care how long ago it was — he made it clear Gillie isn’t getting a pass during Episode 361 of The Joe Budden Podcast. After replaying Gillie’s comments, Budden says, “Oh so you don’t understand it?”
He then proceeds to play Gillie’s response to the backlash he faced last week.
“Woke up to a bunch of text messages today,” Gillie said. “‘Gillie, you trending No. 2 in the world.’ Oh, I see you bitches tried to put smut on my name.”
Budden replies, “No, you did that.”

The Gillie recording continues, “Y’all tried to poach something I said four years ago to try to act like it was in today’s climate. When I said that, white people weren’t even saying that at that time. Shout out to Black Lives Matter movement.”
Budden interjects, “Why?” as Gillie’s words continue to play: “I support y’all.” The former Slaughterhouse MC says, “No you don’t.”
With the swift click of a button, Budden stops the recording and is reluctant to listen to anymore, although he does play it for a few more seconds before bringing it to a halt.
As Budden’s co-hosts Jamil “Mal” Clay, Rory Farrell and Parks Vallely debate the topic, Budden refuses to give Gillie a pass.
“Yeah, I’m not caping for this nigga, man,” he says. “This nigga says and does a lotta stupid, doofy, goofball shit and ever since he got that Barstool deal, it’s amplified. I’m not dignifying any conversation about the response to Black Lives Matter being it should matter to black people.

FANS MERCILESSLY CANCEL GILLIE DA KID AFTER HE SCREAMS 'ALL LIVES MATTER'

“You’ve missed the point. And if you’re not bright enough to get the point, then what the fuck are you talking about the point for?”
