Earlier this morning Urb Magazine debuted the new video from the Jamall Bufford’s album Victim of a Modern Age and had this to say about the track:
Steeped on multiple levels of nostalgic audio and visual interpolations ranging from the hook on Beck’s Loser to Hughes’ Sixteen Candles, Bufford’s modern interpretation of classic boom-bap sonics is married to director’s Andy Madeleine visual direction, which lends the track a certain level of gravitas as it tackles the song’s theme of ‘success’ and it’s relation to life and the rap game. The video’s reverent playfulness belie the lyrics intellectual look at the modern definition of what it means to be in the ‘game.’
This cat is really dope!!! Make sure you support him!!! Peep the visuals up top!!!!
