After a decade-long sentence for cocaine trafficking the former Hip Hop/Reggae collaborator says a government informant "relentlessly pursued" him for cash. Banton and his attorney David O. Markus say that the informant "relentlessly pursued" the Hip Hop/Reggae star for 50,000 and that there is no crminal related offense in this situation.
